UNIZULU hosts GBV aware

.

The pastoral care unit in collaboration with transformation and social inclusion, together with the university of Zululand held a SGBV awareness campaign yesterday, 17 March 2023 at the University of Zululand,Richard's bay campus.

The purpose of this event was to equip students with the information that would work in changing attitudes of people who are scared to talk about Gender Based Violence. And that we have a challenge that people are getting abused and do not want to say a word , and we do this awareness so that the information would be accessible so that we know  what SGBV is, and also  want people to be identify, address and respond to GBV.

Gender Based Violence destroys the peacefulness of our society and students,  and psychological affect both women and children. Let us break the silence, when you witness Violence against women and children, Do not sit. ACT!!!

  9. Campaigns for prevention of GBVF should be a norm and should be regular. People need to be educated on this because the prevalence this pandemic of GBVF keeps going up, and more people, especially youngsters are losing their lives to GBVF.
